A vHIT measures the function of the balance nerves and semicircular canals in the inner ears to active short quick head movements whilst the patient focuses on a dot on a wall.

 

The test is done with the patient sitting in a chair wearing a pair of special goggles. In our clinic an ENT Specialist will undertake this test.
